To Think About...

Here are some nice sentences I found in a text I was reading (link on the bottom). I have selected them because they bring ideas I agree and find important, so I want to keep it in my blog to come back to them later and think about them again and again...

“If you want a good outcome, back off on process and get out of the way of people. Let them come together and interact as they wish, and harvest the good stuff that emerges." (Andy McAfee)

“What we’re dealing with now is not the problem of information overload, because we’re always dealing (and always have been dealing) with information overload..Thinking about information overload isn’t accurately describing the problem; thinking about filter failure is.” (Clay Shirky, 2008)

“Seeking is finding things out and keeping up to date. Building a network of colleagues is helpful in this regard—it not only allows us to “pull” information, but also have it “pushed” to us by trusted sources. Sensing is how we personalize information and use it. Sensing includes reflection and putting into practice what we have learned. Often it requires experimentation, as we learn best by doing. Sharing includes exchanging resources, ideas and experiences with our networks and collaborating with our colleagues.” (Harold Jarche)

  1. What we're managing now isn't the issue of data over-burden, since we're continually managing (and dependably have been managing) with data overload..Thinking about UK dissertation helper data over-burden isn't precisely portraying the issue; thinking about channel disappointment is.
