Although there are many people nowadays talking about connectivism, lots of them do it for the fashion or for their pride and inability to say they do not know it well. I am sorry if I sound a bit rude by saying that so directly, but the truth is that this is what my experience has showed.
"Everybody knows" (the ones who work with education) that connectivism is out there, growing fast, becoming more powerful, people are talking about it, etc. So then you go talk to someone who clearly should at least know what it is and they say "of course they do", but in fact they don't. At all.
In addition to this pride and the usual inability of people to say they do not know something, I agree that the connectivist theory can get seriously complex as deep as you go. Besides, lots of information are not well organized yet as it's such a new theory. Many times important materials are not translated to other languages, making it harder to study, and there are tons of questions without answer still.
But if you speak English, you have some advantage! You can find good articles in this language and you can also join many groups of online discussions... Some of the options to those who want to learn about the connectivist learning theory are:
